Course Description:

The goal of this course is to improve understanding and preparedness for safely managing hurricane and flood recovery. The course curriculum is designed to provide general guidance and training to the public health workforce, response workers, volunteers, and community members who face the hazards that arise after hurricanes and floods occur in Louisiana.

  • Safely perform disaster recovery response after a hurricane or flood
  • List potential hazards you might encounter when returning after a hurricane or flood
  • Describe the PPE that should be used during disaster recovery
