||This course is intended as the second part of a two-part series on chemical terrorist attacks. It is highly recommended that the student take the first course Recognition and safe handling of chemical terrorist agents before beginning this course. Upon completion of this course, the student will have a detailed understanding of recognition strategies and various detection technologies for specific chemicals and chemical classes. The student will also be able to decide upon the appropriate detection and recognition strategies for a given specific chemical attack scenario and to conduct a preliminary exposure assessment for the surrounding exposed population.
