|COURSE DESCRIPTION ||The Performance Assessment and Improvement of Vector Control Services course provides an overview and understanding of the Ten Essential Services of Public Health practice.
The improvement of the performance of Environmental Public Health Services is critical to the public health needs of communities. Environmental health departments can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of their services by incorporating the 10 Essential Environmental Public Health Services into programs and activities, such as vector control.
Incorporation of the 10 Essential Environmental Public Health Services will afford an opportunity to coordinate and align with other public health departments to ensure delivery of essential services and improvement of vector control.
After completing this course, users will be able to explain how the 10 Essential Environmental Public Health Services were developed, recognize the fundamentals of each of the essential services, use the Environmental Public Health Performance Standards to determine actions needed to broaden public health initiatives and understand and interpret how these essential services apply to vector control services.
